Ajax Systems builds wireless intrusion equipment around Jeweller, a two-way radio protocol with encrypted communication and frequency hopping. Devices report to a central hub, which sends events over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or cellular to the Ajax app and, if you choose, to a monitoring station. We design systems using North American (9NA) region versions.

Ajax Hub 2 Plus Jeweller
The Hub 2 Plus is the control panel of an Ajax system. The North American (9NA) version connects over Ethernet, Wi-Fi and two SIM slots, with a built-in backup battery. SIM data plans and monitoring are separate services.

Frequently asked questions
Which versions are used in Canada?
We work with North American (9NA) region versions. Ajax notes that radio bands depend on the sales region, so every device should match the hub's region.
Does the system need internet?
The Hub 2 Plus can use Ethernet, Wi-Fi and cellular SIM cards. Remote notifications need at least one working channel; SIM data plans are separate.
Is professional monitoring included?
No. Ajax hubs can report to a monitoring station, but monitoring is a separate contracted service.
Can the sirens be installed outside?
StreetSiren is IP54-rated for outdoor use (−25 to +60 °C per Ajax). HomeSiren is for indoor use only.
Are the battery life figures guaranteed?
No. Ajax publishes calculated figures; real life depends on settings and environment.
Do you offer fire or flood detection?
Not on this page. Fire detection depends on local code requirements — ask us during your consultation.
